Gov. Gray Davis yesterday named Stockton lawyer Elizabeth Humphreys to the San Joaquin Superior Court.
Humphreys, 46, is a partner in the Stockton firm of Kroloff, Belcher, Smart, Perry & Christopherson, where she has worked since 1983. She was with another Stockton firm for two years before that.
A former insurance defense lawyer, her current practice deals primarily with business and real estate litigation and transactional work. She also serves as editor-in-chief of the State Bar’s California Litigation journal.
Humphreys is a graduate of Bucknell University in Pennsylvania and of McGeorge School of Law. She joins her husband, Judge George Abdallah, on the county bench.
