By a MetNews Staff Writer

The Los Angeles Superior Court’s facilities in the Los Angeles Civic Center will be closed today in light of street closures and anticipated traffic congestion anticipated in the Downtown Los Angeles Civic Center area resulting from the Dodgers’ victory parade in the aftermath of the team winning the World Series.

Affected facilities are the Stanley Mosk Courthouse, the Clara Shortridge Foltz Criminal Justice Center, the Superior Court’s departments at the Spring Street Courthouse, and Superior Court offices, archives, and the records center in the Hall of Records.

The Los Angeles Law Library will also be closed. It is anticipated that the downtown Los Angeles facilities of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California will be closed though no announcement to that effect was made and telephone calls to various numbers were not answered yesterday.

The parade is scheduled to start at 11 a.m. at City Hall, go west on First Street to Grand Avenue, where it will turn south to Fifth Street, then west, ending at Flower Street. The estimated duration of the parade is 45 minutes.
