Cho Elected Vice President of Judges Association

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Tony Cho has been elected a vice president of the California Judges Association, the group announced yesterday.
Cho was elected on Friday at the CJA’s Executive Board meeting in Indian Wells. Chosen as president was San Bernardino Superior Court Judge Khymberli S. Apaloo.
Solano Superior Court Judge Jeffrey Kaufman was also named a 2024-25 vice president and Riverside Superior Court Judge Jennifer Gerard was elected secretary/treasurer.
The new officers will be sworn in at CJA’s annual meeting in the fall, to take place in in San Diego.
Cho was elected to the court on Nov. 6, 2018. He was, at the time, a Los Angeles County deputy district attorney.
His wife, Esther P. Kim, was appointed to the court by Gov. Gavin Newsom on Oct. 25, 2019. She was then a deputy attorney general.
