Los Angeles Superior Court Judges David J. Cowan, Sam Ohta, and Sergio C. Tapia are contestants in a race for the post of assistant presiding judge for 2023 and 2024, it was announced yesterday.
Ballots will be distributed on Sept. 28.
Assistant Presiding Judge Samantha Jessner was chosen as presiding judge, without opposition, pursuant to custom.
