Judge John A. Torribio to Retire

John A. Torribio, 80, will retire as a judge of the Los Angeles Superior Court on April 14, it has been learned.
He was appointed to his post on July 13, 1989 by Gov. George Deukmejian. He had been a commissioner of the court since 1986.
The judge was a Los Angeles deputy public defender in 1966 and from 1968-73. He was in private practice in Downey from 1973-86.
Torribio, who presides over a criminal courtroom in Norwalk, received his law degree from USC in 1965.
