The State Bar dues bill, SB 211, has been amended in the Assembly to provide for the setting of the 2022 license fee at $395 for active members and $97.40 for those on inactive status.
That was the rate set for this year, representing a $34 decrease from 2020.
The bill previously provided that no dues would be set until an appointment had occurred of a chief trial counsel. That occurred last month with the engagement of services of George Cardona.
Sen. Tom Umburg, D-Orange County, is the bill’s author.
