The ballot designation for Los Angeles Superior Court candidate Timothy Reuben has been changed to “Attorney/Business Owner” after the Registrar-Recorder’s Office disallowed his chosen label of “Attorney/Managing Partner.”

It acted at the behest of Reuben’s rival in the contest for Office No. 97, Los Angeles County Deputy District Attorney Sherry L. Powell, who complained that his role of managing partner of his Westwood firm, Reuben Raucher & Blum, is not separate from that of being an attorney.
