LACBA Removes Link From Its Website to Campaign Page
By a MetNews Staff Writer
A link from the Los Angeles County Bar Association website to a site promoting former LACBA President Danette Meyers as a candidate for district attorney has been removed.
The connection, a LACBA spokesperson said yesterday, was “an honest mistake” by a staff member who was updating the organization’s biographies of past presidents and had not realized the link led to a campaign website.
Hamid Towfigh, the campaign manager for Meyers, did not return a call for comment.
The removal of the link came the same day the MetNews published a column by Editor Roger M. Grace criticizing the apparent associating of LACBA with the Meyers campaign.
