Governor Taps Attorney for ALRB Staff Counsel Position

Gov. Jerry Brown on Friday announced his selection of El Cerrito attorney Alegria De La Cruz to serve as supervising staff counsel for the Agricultural Labor Relations Board.
This position does not require Senate confirmation and the compensation is $93,600.
De La Cruz, 35, has been the legal director at the Center on Race, Poverty and the Environment since 2010 and served as a staff attorney there from 2009 to 2010.
She was the directing attorney at the California Rural Legal Assistance from 2006 to 2009, and was a staff attorney there from 2003 to 2006.
After graduating from Yale University, De La Cruz earned her law degree from UC Berkeley and joined the State Bar in 2003.
De La Cruz is a Democrat.
