By a MetNews Staff Writer
The family of U.S. District Court Judge Florence-Marie Cooper of the Central District of California, who died Friday at age 69, has announced that a private service will take place today, but that well-wishers may view a streaming video online.
Those wishing to view the 1 p.m. service are directed to visit the Kehillat Israel Reconstructionist Synagogue website at http://www.kehillatisrael.org and select the Sanctuary Camera link in the left navigation bar.
Ninth U.S Circuit Court of Appeals Chief Judge Alex Kozinski said in an e-mail Friday that a memorial fund is being established in Cooper’s honor in lieu of flowers.
Los Angeles Superior Court Presiding Judge McCoy said that a memorial service will likely be scheduled at a later date.
