By a MetNews Staff Writer
The Michael D. Antonovich Courthouse in Lancaster was closed to the public yesterday due to an unusually strong artic storm which struck the Antelope Valley Wednesday night, a Superior Court spokersperson said.
The courthouse was expected to open for business today, the spokesperson explained. The building was opened to employees only yesterday, beginning in the late morning.
The spokesperson adding that litigants who had a case on calendar for yesterday should return to the courthouse today.
The storm blanketed the area with over six inches of snow and caused closures of Interstate 5, Interstate 15 and the 14 Freeway, along with many local roads. The interstates were opened late yesterday.
Another storm is expected to hit the region Sunday night.
