Steefel, Levitt & Weiss Relocates Offices From Century City to Downtown

San Francisco-Based Steefel, Levitt & Weiss yesterday opened its downtown Los Angeles office on Hope Street.
The firm, founded in 1980, currently has a total of 75 lawyers and offices in San Francisco, Los Angeles and Stamford, Connecticut. The downtown office, relocated from a Century City location that was opened in April, has three attorneys—Robert Zeavin, Craig Bloomberg and Brent Cheney—and three staff members.
Zeavin, the local managing shareholder, received his law degree from UCLA in 1976 and specializes in business litigation. He was one of the three lead attorneys who defended Shell’s environmental liabilities in one of the country’s largest ever suits.
Bloomberg, also a shareholder who will be in the Los Angeles office, specializes in environmental and commercial litigation. He earned his law degree at Harvard Law School in 1983.
Cheney, an associate, earned his law degree at Tulane University School of Law in 1995. He, too, specializes in business and environmental litigation.Steefel’s Los Angeles office will represent the Estate of James Campbell, Capstone Turbine Corporation and the San Gabriel Basin Water Quality Authority, among other clients.
