Pinnacle Entertainment Inc., based in Glendale, has selected Nevada lawyer John Godfrey as senior vice president and general counsel.
Godfrey is a partner of the Las Vegas-based law firm Schreck Brignone Godfrey. His practice is devoted to gaming law, with an emphasis on publicly traded corporations, financing, compliance and licensing investigations.
Godfrey has served as an outside gaming counsel to Glendale-based Pinnacle since 1996.
He is an inactive member of the State Bar of California.
Godfrey replaces Loren Ostrow, who has decided to leave Pinnacle to pursue other interests.
Pinnacle owns and operates seven casinos (four with hotels) in Nevada, Mississippi, Louisiana, Indiana and Argentina, and receives lease income from two card club casinos, the Hollywood Park Casino in Inglewood and the Crystal Park Hotel and Casino in the City of Commerce.
